Undeserved Love


Lord I failed you again today
Sin came to me and had its way
Lord I feel so very dirty
I’m in need of your great mercy
Remove this sinful flesh from me
So I can worship You more freely

And yet You sent your Son to die
For such a sinful one as I
He gave up his life on the cross
To set me free You paid the cost
Then You sent your Holy Spirit
Because your love has no limit

Your holy love is undeserved
My worthless life has been preserved
By His blood we are justified
God’s wrath has now been satisfied
Once enemies now reconciled
Through Christ, our Lord, we are God’s child

Rejoice oh you sons and daughters
Death’s grip on us has been conquered
Though undeserved God’s love is great
Eternity is now our fate
My sinful stains are now wiped clean
I’ve been made new I am redeemed

Inspired by Numbers chapter 19 & Matthew Henry’s  Commentary “COME AND BRING OUT A RED HEIFER  A PERFECT ANIMAL WITHOUT DEFECT THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE IT SHALL ACQUIRE  BURN IT TO ASHES FOR FULL EFFECT  “THE SUFFERING THROUGH FIRE IS A SACRIFICE TO SATISFY MY JUSTICE FOR DISOBEDIENCE  THIS IS THE ULTIMATE COST AND PRICE  BETWEEN OURSELVES TO INTERMEDIATE  “THE BUTCHER AND INFLAMER WILL BE UNCLEAN AS WELL AS THE ONE WHO PICKS UP THE ASHES  SO THEY MUST WASH THEMSELVES PRISTINE  SO THE PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER FRACTIOUS  “A CONSEQUENCE OF SIN IS DEATH SO TOUCHING A CORPSE IS DEFILING  THE LAW CANNOT BRING BACK YOUR HEALTH  SO NEW LIFE AND HOPE I WAS COMPILING  “MIX THE ASHES WITH FRESH WATER THIS MIXTURE IS YOUR PURIFICATION  THIS WILL ATONE FOR SIN’S SLAUGHTER  A SYMBOL OF OUR SACRED RELATION”

More Than Conquerers
