"HEAVEN IS MY THRONE AND THE EARTH IS MY FOOTSTOOL      CAN SUCH A RESTING PLACE BE BUILT FOR ME? ALL MY HANDS HAVE MADE WAS FOR MAN TO RULE      BUT EVERYTHING'S MINE AS IT WAS MEANT TO BE "YET I STILL SEARCH FOR PEOPLE TO BLESS      THOSE WHO HAVE HUMBLE AND CONTRITE HEARTS HOW DID IT ALL GET TURNED INTO A MESS?      HOW FAR FROM MY SPIRIT DID MY CREATION DEPART? "MY CHILDREN CHOSE THEIR OWN DETESTABLE WAYS      CHOOSING NOT TO ACKNOWLEDGE MY GLORY THEIR OWN WICKEDNESS DO THEY PRAISE      AND HONOR THEMSELVES IN THEIR STORIES "YOU KEEP MURDERING EACH OTHER      DISREPECTING MY SOVEREIGNTY IGNORE FATHER AND MOTHER      KEEPING THEM IN POVERTY "SO I HAVE CHOSEN HARSH TREATMENT FOR THEM      THEY WILL EXPERIENCE THEIR OWN WORST FEARS BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T ANSWER WHEN I CALLED THEM      THEIR OWN DESPICIBLE WAYS THEY VOLUNTEER " THEY SCOFF TO ...

"I'M CREATING NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH      CHAOS AND PAIN ARE THINGS OF THE PAST FRESH NEW THINGS WILL SOON BE BIRTHED      THE PAST OLD WAYS WILL NO LONGER LAST “LOOK AHEAD WITH JOY AND ANTICIPATION       THERE'LL BE A NEW CITY KNOWN FOR PEACE  THIS NEW CITY WILL BE FULL OF JUBILATION       A PLACE WHERE TROUBLES ARE RELEASED "IN THIS NEW CITY I WILL REJOICE      IN MY PEOPLE I'LL TAKE DELIGHT THERE'LL BE THE FREEDOM OF CHOICE      THE PEOPLE WILL DO WHAT IS RIGHT "NO NEED TO BE ANGUISH DENYING  NO MORE BABIES IN THEIR CRIBS DYING THERE WILL BE NO MORE NEED TO BE CRYING JUST MATURE PEOPLE AND THEIR LIVES ENJOYING "BUILD YOUR HOUSES AND MOVE IN YOUR FIELDS WILL NO LONGER GET RUINED NO MORE STEALING OF POSSESSION NO MORE DIRTY CONFISCATION 'YOU WILL LIVE AS LONG AS THE TREES NO MORE DYING OF DISEASE BEFORE YOU CALL I WILL ANSWER EVERYONE WILL SING AND BE...

The LORD says,  "I WAS READY TO CHERISH MY CHILDREN YET THEY ACT AS IF I'M A HINDRANCE I CALLED OUT TO THEM, 'HERE I AM!' YET THEY ACT AS IF I'M A SCAM "ALL DAY LONG I OPENED UP MY ARMS BUT THEY STILL FOLLOW THEIR CROOKED CHARMS PURPOSEFULLY INSULTING ME TO MY FACE WORSHIPPING THEIR ICONS IN MY PLACE "THEY SPEND THEIR NIGHTS IN SECRET REGIONS DRINKING WITCH'S BREW OF UNHOLY POTIONS SAYING 'KEEP THY DISTANCE AWAY FROM ME DON'T YOU KNOW I'M HOLIER THAN THEE?' "THESE PEOPLE ARE A STENCH TO MY NOSTRILS A WICKED SMELL THAT IS MOST HOSTILE DID YOU THINK THAT I WOULD STAND SILENT? THAT YOU CAN CONTINUE BEING SO DEFIANT? Come   down, oh LORD, and descend  Make the earth tremble as You transcend As You burn everything to their roots Make the nations shake in their boots You did terrible things unexpected  Made mountains shudder at Your Presence  Since before time even began Beyond the imagination of man No ear has heard, no eye has seen For respecters of Him, He intervenes Welcoming those who gladly do good  But angry with those who with evil stood We are all infected and impure Our best efforts are like manure Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall Our misdeeds make us become so small And yet, oh LORD, You are our Father  We are the clay and You are the Potter Please don’t continue Your holy anger Please don’t remember our sins forever
