Holy Priesthood

Inspired by Leviticus 8-10 The Lord said to Moses "BRING AARON, HIS SONS,       AND ALL THEIR CLOTHES BRING THE EQUIPMENT       IN SERVICE TO THE LORD BRING THE OFFERING BULL       AND TWO MALE SHEEP BRING THE BASKET OF BREAD       MADE WITHOUT YEAST GATHER THE PEOPLE       AT THE MEETING TENT ENTRANCE AS YOU ANOINT THE LEADERS       OF THEIR REPENTANCE" So Moses consecrated the Tabernacle  Making it the people's hallowed chapel Then bestowed the offerings as a sacrifice To atone for the people's depravity and vice Then sprinkled oil and blood from the altar Ordaining the priests as the people's ministers "I WILL DISPLAY MY HOLINESS      THROUGH THOSE WHO COME NEAR ME BEFORE ALL THE PEOPLE      I WILL DISPLAY MY GLORY" As HIS priesthood we have to distinguish What is holy and what to relinquish So all our wrongs can be extinguished Si...

The Importance of Offerings

Inspired by Leviticus 1-7 After the Tabernacle had been complete Certain instructions did God entreat It was not to follow obligations But to free us from condemnation Because if God is all that is holy Than wickedness makes us all unworthy Unable to be intimate and be exhilarated Instead we would be obliterated So let our offerings be without defect For we do not want God to reject What we offer up before Him Because everything needs to be clean As we burn the offering to Jehovah It lifts to Him a pleasing aroma It is known as a special gift So to Heaven we can enlist We need to offer everything sacred  Not keep it for ourselves and be wasted  It is for our sake of atonement  A most blessed and holy moment  So pour out the blood and burn the fat As the priest becomes our diplomat Making us purified and right with Him Making our sins be forgiven

The Great Commission

Inspired by Matthew 28; Mark 16; Luke 24 Very early of the Sunday mourning After He was crucified without warning When some women came for His adorning The Son of Man finished His reforming Even terrified and bowed low to the ground What the women looked for could not be found Remember what had been previously said He would be betrayed but rise from the dead Come and see the empty linen wrappings He has finished what God's been planning No more need for grief or to be suffering Come see the new life He is ushering "Why be frightened, why be in doubt? I'm not some ghost as some have vouched All my agony had to be allowed So My Spirit upon you can be endowed" He died a prisoner but ascended as King Had no possessions but now owns everything Declares to go and make disciples So let us go out and bring revival!

The Death of Sin

Inspired by Hosea 10:8; Matthew 27; Mark 15; Luke 23 It was asked if Jesus was a king But no fault was found within him, nothing  People said the problem was his teaching  So “Crucify him! Crucify him!” were they shouting  The place of wickedness is about to  crumble  As GOD makes the earth shake and rumble The people will cry for the mountains to bury them  As the drying trees are being condemned  The crowds watched and the leaders scoffed  As Jesus was nailed to the cross  “Prove yourself King of the Jews” And on and on did they continue  Death is deserved for all our crimes  As righteousness has been declined  And ignore what is holy and divine  So the consequence was realigned  So once darkness falls across the land  Trust your spirit into GOD’s hands  As the curtain is torn right down the middle  Because there has been an acquittal  So wrap yourself with clean linen  And place yourself in...

Jesus in Gethsemane & Before the Council

Inspired by Matthew 26:31-75; Mark 14:27-72; Luke 22:31-71 Jesus said  "Father, Your ways are unstoppable For You nothing is impossible But do I need to give this offering? Can You take away the suffering? The pain and torment I want to decline But let Your will be done, Lord, not mine" Judas led a crowd as he was remiss As the Son of Man was betrayed with a kiss Jesus asked "Am I some dangerous revolutionary? Did you have to come with swords to arrest me?" Jesus was accused of being a scoundrel Standing trial before a rigid council Any wrongdoing could only be implied And He remained silent making no reply "Are you the Messiah?" Was the question "I AM coming on the clouds of heaven" Three, the number of the Trinity Of perfection and of divinity The same number of times      of being with Jesus would Peter deny But by dying a hero's death      to the Father's will did Jesus comply

The Last Supper

Inspired by Matthew 26:1-30; Mark 14:1-26; Luke 22:1-30 Two days before Passover      at the Festival of Unleavened Bread Religious leaders were worried       that the people may riot in dread Jesus was a guest of Simon      Who was a former leper Jesus' head was poured over      From a jar of alabaster Some said the jar could've been sold      And the money given to the poor Jesus said, "This woman has come to prepare      My body for what is in store" Judas went to the religious leaders      and said Jesus' head he'll deliver The leaders agreed to the betrayal      and paid thirty pieces of silver The day came when       the Passover Lamb  would be sacrificed When Jesus and the disciples      had to appease their appetites Jesus foretold of a guest room      where they would have their meal Two disciples fol...

When Jesus Returns 2

Inspired by Matthew 25 The Kingdom of Heaven Will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps To meet the bridegroom.  Five were foolish, the others wise; all took a nap Then the bridegroom came And the bridesmaids all got prepared The five wise ones had extra oil But with the foolish ones could not be shared The foolish ones went out Coming back they cried, "Open the door for us!" But they just heard "I don't know you." Be ready! No one can foresee the return of Jesus Again, the Kingdom of Heaven Is like a man going on a long trip To three servants fortunes he did equip The servants invested the money as they saw fit Two of them doubled up what they were enriched The third one eventually got his asset stripped      To those who use well what they are given           They will have an abundance      But to those who do nothing and don't listen           They will be seen as repugnant When Jesus returns...

The End of Days

Inspired by Matthew 24; Mark 13; Luke 21:5-36 Jesus said, "There will be a time of great persecution Believers will be dragged into prisons You will stand trial before others Because you are my followers " You'll be betrayed by those deeply trusted Leaving you hurt and feeling disgusted  But this will be a great opportunity To tell the whole world about me "Do not worry about defending yourself God's own Spirit will provide help You will be given the right words and wisdom That your opponents can't argue against them "At the end of days  Many will claim to be the Savior So don't be fooled by their misbehavior You'll hear of wars and insurrections Nation will fight against other nations "There'll be earthquakes, plagues, and famine and also miraculous signs from heaven You'll be terrorized by fearful harpies As the holy city is surrounded by armies "Those will be the days of God's vengeance So get on your knees in deep repent...

King Over All the Earth

Inspired by Zechariah 14 Watch, for the day of the LORD is coming When the gates of hell are threatening And yet the enemy is not prevailing For there will be a reckoning On that day Sources of light will not shine For it will be continuous day Only the LORD knows how this will happen For HE will make a way On that day Life-giving waters will flow For it has been foretold We will walk streets of gold In the Book of Life we're enrolled On that day His Kingdom will be enlarged As His City becomes established Prisoners will be discharged As sin will have been banished On that day horses' bells will be sanctified The wages of sin will be ratified God's glory will be magnified As His Grace and Love are satisfied Also inspired by  Matthew Henry's Commentary
