Keys to the Realm

Inspired by Matthew 16; Mark 8:11-9:1; Luke 9:18-27 People will demand to see a sign Trying to prove you are maligned Thinking themselves as enshrined Unable to interpret what is divined Beware the yeast of pious pretenders Who cannot discern all of God's  splendor Eagerly awaiting the anointed deliverer But unable to commit to God in surrender We are given the keys to the Realm  Forbidden things will be overwhelmed  Permitted things will we helm Since we are part of His Twelve  We will suffer terrible things  At the hands of religious whims  Accusing you of many sins  Because to life we want to cling Don’t see from a human perspective  Because such things can be deceptive  To God’s ways please be receptive  So that saving your soul is your directive

A Noble Wife

Inspired by Proverbs 31:10-31 Who can find a capable wife?  She is more precious than gemstones Greatly enriching her husband's life Being trusted with her own throne She is very diligent and responsible Constantly working and supplies great treasure Others look up to her as remarkable To her husband her worth has no measure She extends a helping hand to the poor  And opens her arms to the needy People hold her up in grandeur As she is clothed with dignity When she speaks, her words are wise She gives instructions with kindness Carefully inspecting things with her eyes And suffers nothing from mindlessness She is someone worthy to obtain So adore your wives and be amazed Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain But a God-honoring woman is to be praised.

Ephphatha

Inspired by Isaiah 29:18 & 35:5; Matthew 11:4-6; Mark 7:31-35; Luke 7:21-23 It will not be very long The deaf will soon be able to hear  Like reading lyrics to a song And the blind will then be made assure That the darkness will be gone Blind eyes will suddenly see clear Broken ears will be made strong Deafness will disappear When to the scene Jesus comes along A mute and deaf man was brought to him As the people pleaded with Jesus to heal  So Jesus led the man away from the crowd To be alone with him He could properly deal And unto the only righteous judge Jesus made his case and appealed Then touching the man's ears and tongue He caused the affliction to be repealed  Go back and testify to others What you have seen and what you heard Everyone who hurts and also suffers All of their pain Jesus can cure Deception He will then uncover Condemnation has been deterred His love for you can be discovered So your liberation can be preserved Companion  poem

Inner Purity

Inspired by Isaiah 29:9-14; Matthew 15:1-20;  Mark 7:1-23; Galatians 5:16-26 Are you amazed and incredulous? Unaware of dangers so perilous Go ahead and remain blind You are confused but not from wine Continue to stumble and to stagger But you are not drunk from too much liquor Your spirit has just fallen asleep Your lack of discretion runs too deep "WITH THEIR LIPS THEY SAY THEY'RE MINE YET THEIR HEARTS ARE NOT ALIGNED THEIR WORSHIP IS JUST MAN-MADE RULES CONDUCTED BY RELIGIOUS FOOLS SO I WILL ASTOUND THE HYPOCRITES REVELING IN THEIR MALICIOUSNESS THE WISDOM OF THE WISE WILL PERISH THEIR INTELLIGENCE WILL BE A BLEMISH" "It is not what goes in your mouth That makes your spirit be in a drought It is what your mouth spews out That defiles you all throughout Food just passes through your body But does not make your soul so dirty It's from your heart that can be filthy Making your soul dark and empty" So let us live by His Spirit His holiness we can inherit Maki...

A Prophet's Honor

God raised up a prophet like Moses One who would be declared as  chosen Changing the curse of sin’s prognosis  He is God's grand magnum opus When he returned back to his hometown He amazed the crowd with teachings profound But right after he would be cut down As they got offended and became proud They scoffed at him as a nobody Perceiving things too emotionally Rationalizing their distrust boastfully Unable to see past their uncertainty A prophet is not honored by their own family As relatives can't see past their own vanity They won't admit to their own depravity Thinking they have greater morality They can't be blessed due to unbelief Staying in lament and stuck in grief Staying as victims to the great thief Not knowing who could bring relief No need to cry all you mothers Respect all our sisters and brothers  We can show love to each other  If His grace is discovered  He who adores our very souls Wants us all to be made whole It was death that he willingly ch...

Talitha Koum

Inspired by Mark 5:21-43 & Luke 8:40-56 The first woman came from Adam But everyone comes from women  Together we are to work in tandem  To complete God’s holy mission  Male and female HE created us We were created in His own image  We’re His children because of Jesus  So women enjoy your privilege  As His daughter you are special HE created you for a purpose HE sees you as a worthy vessel Please see beyond the surface You are precious in His eyes HE thinks that you are beautiful Do not believe in any lies Burn them away in a crucible  You do not have to suffer long Know that HE is your healer HE alone can make you strong Let Him complete His procedure You can cry and you can weep But stop your wailing as you sleep His love for you runs too deep Because your soul HE wants to keep So rise up and come awake Fill yourself with food Your inheritance you should partake With His Spirit you are imbued

Psalm 78

O my people, listen to my instructions Open your ears to my directions For I will speak to you in a parable Teaching you hidden things so credible Stories told for generations Of HE who is Lord over all creation These truths cannot be kept hidden We will tell our children's children To put our hope in His providence In His commands have confidence With stronger faith than our parents Abundant peace and blessed assurance So do not take His favor for granted Because our place can be supplanted If we do not find His grace sufficient And treat His anger as non-existent For His wrath is fierce and terrible The damage would not be repairable But He rises and comes awake For His own dignity's sake Cause He  still cares with a true heart As His love He wants to impart Crushing the head of the serpent As He raises up holy servants

Scattered Seed

A farmer went out to plant some seed Scattering them across his field Some fell where the birds can feed Others sprouted quickly  but soon unpeeled Some fell among the thorns and got obstructed Not wanting their lives to be disrupted They wanted to be uninterrupted So they let their lives become corrupted People look but they lack vision They hear but don't really listen Trying hard to pay attention Not having the comprehension The Kingdom of God is like scattered seed Night and day their growth proceeds To know how this happens there is no need But harvest time is guaranteed How fertile is your inner soil? Does the seed sprout and soon recoil? Or do you simply let it spoil? Know we are made to be royal So unto Him may you be loyal

The Sabbath

When the creation of       the heavens and earth were completed When God made sure       the whole universe was treated Finishing His work       so on the seventh day He rested Blessing the seventh day       declaring it a holy investment We are to keep the Sabbath day holy Showing reverence towards His sanctuary Not follow our own desires or talk idly But take delight as a day to be happy The Sabbath was for the needs of the people Not meant to be observed as lawfully legal It is not just to offer sacrifices But to show mercy and magnify His grace It is day to be doing good And saving lives as we should Jesus is Lord even over the Sabbath And honoring Him should be made a habit

God’s Messenger

Inspired by the book of Malachi The Lord has always loved humanity HE loved our ancestors for generations  His greatness reaches beyond calamity  But upon sinners He brings destruction  Children should show honor to their parents  Servants should be respectful to their master  Don’t show contempt with false appearance  Fake offerings will bring disaster  Make up your minds all you priests And honor the Lord of Heaven's Armies Or cursed will be all of your receipts And punishment comes like tsunamis The purpose of His covenant Was to bring us life and abundant peace This required reverence So God's favor upon us can increase Are we not all children of the Heavenly Father? Were we not all made by the same Creator? Then why do we lie and cheat on each other? We are unfaithful and celebrate traitors The Lord has sent a messenger  Coming to prepare the way He comes like a refining fire Purifying our sins away Come back to Him and He will return to us P...

Matthew 11

Jesus said "What have you heard, and what have you seen? God blesses those who don't turn away from me Afflictions are healed, the dirty disinfected People can hear clearly with lives resurrected "What did you hope to see out in the wilderness? Someone who can help you let go of bitterness? Did you hope to find the secret to righteousness? Something to help bring truth and divine justice? "You came out there looking to see a prophet Someone who can share what God deposits Before me, he was sent out as a messenger Ahead of my coming, the way he would prepare "None was ever greater than John the Baptist Who spoke against evil and to sin did resist Yet the least in the Kingdom is greater than he is And the Kingdom of Heaven is forcefully advancing "To what can I compare this generation People full of misinformation You cannot stop what God has ordained The One who created has the universe contained "Come to me, all who are weary Heavy loads and burdens do...

Sheep Amongst Wolves

Jesus called out twelve of his followers Giving them authority and imbued with power To cast out evil spirits and heal people's illness Saying Heaven is coming and know God in stillness "Go and find all the lost sheep Awake the dead who are asleep Give as freely as you received And as you work you won't want in need "Be harmless as doves, but shrewd like snakes Your demise people will try to partake But you will not be the one who is speaking It will be the Holy Spirit in you preaching "People will hate you on account of my name But endure and salvation can be claimed Don't be afraid of those who threaten you My acknowledgement will be your revenue "If you love others more than you love me Than as my disciple you are not worthy Clinging to life than you are bound to it But giving it up will you be found in it"

The Narrow Gate

Based on Matthew chapter 7 Jesus said "Do not judge others and you will not be judged Or God's guilty verdict will not be budged Don't waste what is sacred on people unholy They trample pearls with standards so lowly "Keep on asking and you will receive Keep on seeking and you will retrieve Keep on knocking and the door will open Your spirit will revive and be awoken "Do unto others what you'd do to yourself  The essence of biblical teaching itself  The gateway to enter the Kingdom is narrow But the road to hell is easy and thorough "Beware of disguised sheep who are wolves The fruit they yield will become dissolved So do the will of our Heavenly Father  Not religious deeds that face erasure  “Build your house upon the rock Not on sand that can be undocked  Don’t let your faith fall and get collapsed  Let it mature and become advanced”

Rewards in Heaven

Based on Matthew chapter 6 Jesus said "Watch out! Don't do good deeds publicly Don't call attention to acts of charity Don't pray by speaking incessantly Or refuse to forgive in nullity "Do not store treasures here on earth It's only temporary and loses worth Where your treasure is your heart will be So for everyday life do not worry Can your worries add to your life? Do you have little faith about your strife? Don't be filled with grief and sorrow And do not worry about tomorrow "Your Heavenly Father knows all your needs Seek His Kingdom and you will succeed He sees all and with you be pleased If to Him control you concede"

Blessed During Difficulties

Based on Matthew 5 Jesus said  "Take heart! God blesses you in difficulties  When you are persecuted by your enemies  Ancient prophets were treated in the same way  Yet in My presence did they choose to stay  "You are the salt and light of the earth  Letting others know how much I AM worth You bring flavor during the bitterness  Showing the way through the dark wilderness  "Don’t hate your enemies love all your neighbors  Don’t give favors like corrupt tax collectors  Do not be like pagans being kind for effect Like your Father in heaven is you’re to be perfect"

Fishing

In the land of Zebulun and of Naphtali Beyond the Jordan River beside the sea Where so many Gentiles live       in the region of Galilee The Spirit of the Lord was upon Him       to set the oppressed free The people who sat in darkness       have seen a great light Shining into the shadow       of death's cursed blight Jesus began to preach       that God's Kingdom is in sight Saying "Come, follow me"        and to souls did it excite Evil spirits cried out,     "Have You come to destroy us?" "We know who you are,       Son of God, Lord Jesus!" But cutting them short       He commanded them "Depart!" And they obeyed so His fame got its start Great crowds listened in      as He preached along the shore He then instructed fishermen       where to catch a big score Simon, James, and John ...

Magnificat and Zechariah's Prophecy

Inspired by Luke chapter 1 Praise the Lord, the God of Israel He visited and redeemed His people Those who are righteous in His eyes With His Spirit will He baptize We need to carefully obey His word And in our hearts may it be stored All hail the Savior of the world Born from a lowly servant girl Helping His servant Israel Remembering to be merciful Keeping His promise to our precursor As His love endures forever

Descending Like a Dove

In the beginning  God breathed creation into being And over the surface of the waters  The Spirit of God was hovering  In the days of Noah The earth would be covered  But as the flood receded  Noah drew the dove back inward From the throne of God does the water flow  Giving life and helping things grow The dove will fly over and find no land Returning unto its precious Lord’s hand  For seven days will the dove find rest In the Lord's presence will it invest Then fly out to hover again Bringing a token of peace as it descends God looks down upon His creation Longing to bring reconciliation Planning a way for our redemption Descending down to bring salvation The Holy Spirit impregnated Mary It was Immanuel that she did carry Together with Joseph they raised Him in Galilee God made a way for our sins to be buried In the days of John the Baptist  He called us out to be repentant Baptizing the people into the water Preparing the way for our Redeemer...

Building the Tabernacle

Inspired by Exodus chapters 35-40 May we stir our hearts and our spirits be moved  Bringing our sacred offerings unto the Lord  Both men and women come, all who are willing  With gold, thread, linen, and leather as offerings  For the joy of the Lord e veryone become eager  There is work to be done so help the endeavor  Prepare ourselves to bestow acceptable service  Seeking the Holy Spirit so He may influence us Come all those blessed with special skills It is time to accomplish what the Lord wills Come all you craftsmen and skilled laborers  Perform the work as the Lord has enabled you  Then rejoice when the tabernacle is complete  God dwells with us while on His mercy seat His glory is absolute and completely concrete   So let us bow low and worship at His feet

Renewing the Covenant

Inspired by Exodus chapters 32-34 Oftentimes we can get impatient  Leading us to be complacent  Looking for God’s replacement  Enthralled into sin’s engagement  Making God burn with anger Threatening to bring disaster  As sin spreads just like cancer While we’re ignorant of the danger  Desperately needing intervention  Begging God for restoration  Hoping for some intercession  We really need His salvation  It is His presence that sets us apart  Refining our minds and our hearts He has loved us from the start A glorious, beautiful work of art So let us renew our covenant   Everyone come into agreement  That God alone will be prominent  And His Grace will be sufficient

The Tabernacle

Inspired by Exodus chapters 25-31 God told Moses to build a sanctuary  As the tabernacle was formless and empty  The people were to provide sacred donations  For God Himself to live amongst them Then God said to make an ark Overlay it in gold did He impart With two cherubim on the cover So between them He would hover  Then God instructed Moses to make a table Showing how He would provide our essentials   Along with special containers to be made And the Bread must be continually displayed Then God said to symbolize His light  Portraying the Trinity with a lampstand in sight  Made from gold following His directions  With seven lamps to represent perfection    To exemplify His Presence so magical God said to make Him a tabernacle Our sins would be placed upon an altar To be forgiven and eventually conquered To light the lamps oil is necessary And the fire had to burn continually Just as His Presence is always around Our hearts and His ...

Phillipians

From a slave of Christ Jesus To God's people so zealous May you be full of His grace And of His peacefulness I am grateful for you my dear partners As we confirm the truth in His special favor He who began the good work within you Until Christ returns, will His work continue We must live as citizens of heaven United in spirit with faith as a weapon Not intimidated by our enemies But assured by serving in HIs embassy Let us agree wholeheartedly with each other  Loving one another and working together  With one mind and one purpose  Each of us burning hot as God’s furnace  We should do everything without complaining  So to us no one can be criticizing   Living as children of God so innocent  Shining brightly and so magnificent Don't think religious devotion as priceless Compared to Christ it is worthless Infinite value is knowing Him as Lord Everything else should be discarded Jesus submitted to God in obedience  Then elevated to the highest place A...

God's Righteous Instructions

Inspired by Exodus 20-23 and Matthew Henry's commentary God gave us certain instructions Reminding us how He saved us from subjection Our responsibility to Him was His regulations Forbidding any kind of superstition Then He instructed us how to love each other Honoring our fathers and our mothers Like to ourselves should we love our neighbors Forbidding any kind of wrongful desires We were once in bondage to our depravity Denying God of His legitimate glory It is His law that protects our sanctity Providing refuge for our regrets and legality We should be ready to be benevolent Have mercy on others and be compassionate If harm was done then the culprit should compensate Just as our honor God's grace does vindicate May His instructions teach us to be morally upright Regularly resting and depending on His might Fighting against sin as His holy knights Trusting that He will be our continual delight

Ephesians

Praise to God who gifted us every spiritual blessing Choosing us in Christ to be holy and without sin Kindness and grace was He expressing When He purchased our freedom to dwell within Everything will be brought under His authority Everything in heaven and on earth Choosing us in advance to share His legacy So we should know our value and our worth Let us have strong faith in Christ  A nd love God's people everywhere May He give us spiritual wisdom and insight To know more of Him and be more aware Of His great power that raised Christ from the dead Seating Him at the Father's right hand Of the church has He been made the head B eing full and complete under His command  We once lived without God and without hope Simply following our sinful nature Separation from God was invoked Subjecting ourselves to His anger So the wall of hostility Christ then broke As God raised us from the dead to heavenly honor Together with Him did we elope As He is  rich in mercy and showing us fa...

When God Revealed Himself

Inspired by Exodus 19:4-6, 16, and 18 & Psalm 20 On the third day thunders roared       and lightening flashed As on the mountain dense clouds crashed From ram's horns came a long, loud blast The people trembled and became aghast "YOU HAVE SEEN       WHAT I DID TO THE EGYPTIANS AS I REDEEMED YOU FROM INFLICTIONS NOW IF YOU OBEY ME       AND KEEP MY COVENANTS I WILL SHOWER YOU       WITH TREASURE SO ABUNDANT MY ROYAL PRIESTHOOD IS YOUR IDENTITY  YOU WILL BE MY KINDGOM, MY ANOINTING" May God answer us in times of trouble Keeping us safe in times of struggle Sending us help from His sanctuary Remembering our gifts, gazing favorably Making all of our plans succeed As we hear of His victory In Your name we raise up banners As You answer all of our prayers Know He rescues the anointed king As He raises him on eagles' wings Nations may boast of chariots and horses But we will boast in holy, divine forces

Wandering the Wilderness

Inspired by Exodus 15:22 to 17:16 When we are facing adversity  We forget our divine paternity  Even after God displays His power And how He shone in our darkest hour Seeking self comfort and security  When it is only in Him we are free  He alone our strength and our shield  It is His glory that we do wield  We are the manifestation of His love And onto others are we to share of Be careful of getting bitter and complain  Cause we can neglect the holy campaign Don’t look to others for provision  God should be our firm foundation  Your faith in Him should be maintained  As we wait for our inheritance to claim

A Song of Deliverance

Based on Exodus 15:1-18 & Psalm 136:13 I will sing to the Lord for His triumph and His glory He has hurled both horse and rider into the Red Sea The Lord is my strength He has given me victory The Lord has drowned Pharaoh's chariots and his army O Lord, in glorious power You smashed the enemy As You displayed the greatness of Your majesty Against the opposition You unleashed Your fury For Your grace and love we do adore Thee At the blast of Your breath the waters piled up Standing like a wall did the waters line up The wind blew all night so the seabed dried up As they gave chase the enemy was covered up O Lord our God You are awesome in splendor Who is like You performing great wonders? With Your unfailing love do You take the lead Your holy people have You redeemed We hear Your voice and then tremble As Your glory we try to resemble Praise Him who divided the Red Sea asunder As He reigns forever and ever

Delivered from Bondage

In this life there will be opposition Something that will prevent complete submission To the Lord in glory and honor As we should acknowledge His grace and His splendor But there are those who don't know the Lord And do not fear His frightful sword So they protest against worshipping Him Being content to just stay in sin Making excuses and say we are lazy Getting harsher and harsher and making us crazy But God will redeem us with a powerful arm Delivering us from tyranny and those who mean harm Do not think that God is feeble And think His wonders are to be ignored We are supposed to be His people And He is supposed to be our Lord God will raise His mighty hand Then non-believers will understand That He alone is the Lord Saving us with but a word They may ask to be shown a miracle Not caring if they are being difficult Because their hearts are so stubborn To the Lord they refuse to sojourn  Being satisfied with counterfeits  Refusing to concede that God’s glory exists  Ob...

The Burning Bush

A time will come when blessings are forgotten  Peaceful allegiances become downtrodden Where once we were free but now in slavery Crying out in distress to God for delivery Oftentimes we bring justice into our own hands Impatient with God and with His timing withstand But the ends will never justify the means People will always have their sinful schemes Yet no matter how messy the situation God has a way towards restoration You may be lost but in Him can be found He will call you into holy ground So take off your sandals and bow low A special calling will He bestow Do not hesitate and do not protest Answer His call at His behest He will use you to do signs and wonders Bringing rain and trembling thunder He is the God of Israel, the Great I Am The God of Jacob, Isaac, and of Abraham

Galatians

The gospel message  Is not based on human reasoning  Instead it is based on direct revelation  Not religious devotion b ut holy communion A union between God and man A righteous salvation plan Started even before life began  So we can live in the promised land God is the same God of the apostles  As He is the same God of us A person is made right with God by faith  Not by obeying the law in confidence  Our old selves have been crucified with Christ  We no longer live but Christ lives in us Trusting His grace will only suffice  Not treating His grace as meaningless  By faith are we all children of Abraham  As Christ became the sacrificial lamb Breaking the curse of the law Receiving freedom from the cross  Don't be slaves again of useless principles Lacking faith in the God of miracles Like Abraham’s firstborn from a slave woman  Not trusting God would fulfill the promised son We are like Isaac born from the freeborn wife B...
