Inner Purity

Inspired by Isaiah 29:9-14; Matthew 15:1-20;  Mark 7:1-23; Galatians 5:16-26

Are you amazed and incredulous?
Unaware of dangers so perilous
Go ahead and remain blind
You are confused but not from wine
Continue to stumble and to stagger
But you are not drunk from too much liquor
Your spirit has just fallen asleep
Your lack of discretion runs too deep

"WITH THEIR LIPS THEY SAY THEY'RE MINE
YET THEIR HEARTS ARE NOT ALIGNED
THEIR WORSHIP IS JUST MAN-MADE RULES
CONDUCTED BY RELIGIOUS FOOLS
SO I WILL ASTOUND THE HYPOCRITES
REVELING IN THEIR MALICIOUSNESS
THE WISDOM OF THE WISE WILL PERISH
THEIR INTELLIGENCE WILL BE A BLEMISH"

"It is not what goes in your mouth
That makes your spirit be in a drought
It is what your mouth spews out
That defiles you all throughout
Food just passes through your body
But does not make your soul so dirty
It's from your heart that can be filthy
Making your soul dark and empty"

So let us live by His Spirit
His holiness we can inherit
Making us be of good repute
Helping us to bear good fruit
Love, joy, peace, and patience
Kindness, goodness, and faithfulness
Gentleness and self-control
Comes from a purified soul

Inspired by Numbers chapter 19 & Matthew Henry’s  Commentary “COME AND BRING OUT A RED HEIFER  A PERFECT ANIMAL WITHOUT DEFECT THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE IT SHALL ACQUIRE  BURN IT TO ASHES FOR FULL EFFECT  “THE SUFFERING THROUGH FIRE IS A SACRIFICE TO SATISFY MY JUSTICE FOR DISOBEDIENCE  THIS IS THE ULTIMATE COST AND PRICE  BETWEEN OURSELVES TO INTERMEDIATE  “THE BUTCHER AND INFLAMER WILL BE UNCLEAN AS WELL AS THE ONE WHO PICKS UP THE ASHES  SO THEY MUST WASH THEMSELVES PRISTINE  SO THE PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER FRACTIOUS  “A CONSEQUENCE OF SIN IS DEATH SO TOUCHING A CORPSE IS DEFILING  THE LAW CANNOT BRING BACK YOUR HEALTH  SO NEW LIFE AND HOPE I WAS COMPILING  “MIX THE ASHES WITH FRESH WATER THIS MIXTURE IS YOUR PURIFICATION  THIS WILL ATONE FOR SIN’S SLAUGHTER  A SYMBOL OF OUR SACRED RELATION”

More Than Conquerers
