Ephesians

Praise to God who gifted us every spiritual blessing

Choosing us in Christ to be holy and without sin

Kindness and grace was He expressing

When He purchased our freedom to dwell within

Everything will be brought under His authority

Everything in heaven and on earth

Choosing us in advance to share His legacy

So we should know our value and our worth

Let us have strong faith in Christ 

And love God's people everywhere

May He give us spiritual wisdom and insight

To know more of Him and be more aware

Of His great power that raised Christ from the dead

Seating Him at the Father's right hand

Of the church has He been made the head

Being full and complete under His command 

We once lived without God and without hope

Simply following our sinful nature

Separation from God was invoked

Subjecting ourselves to His anger

So the wall of hostility Christ then broke

As God raised us from the dead to heavenly honor

Together with Him did we elope

As He is rich in mercy and showing us favor

Everyone who believes the Gospel will inherit God's riches

Using the church to display His wisdom was His purpose

I pray to the One of glorious, unlimited resources

That you grasp how vast His love so mysterious

And its fullness in Christ you will experience

Glory to Him whose power is limitless

Please live a life worthy of your calling

For we have been called by the Lord

Make allowances for each others' failings

For in the Spirit are we of one accord    

Yet, He has given each of us a special gift

Due to Christ and His generosity

So to the congregation we can lift

To be healthy believers in spiritual maturity

Do not live your life with no sense of shame

Living for lewd pleasure and practicing impurity

Instead, let us live to receive God's acclaim

Being like Him, righteous and holy

Before salvation, we used to live in darkness

But now are children of the Lord's light

Take no part of deeds that are worthless

But produce only what is good and right

Out of reverence for Christ yield to each other

Spouses, children, and paid laborers

Do not provoke people into anger

Or give them good reason to be bitter

But encourage them to be more demure

So we can please our Lord and Master

Be strong in the Lord and in His power

Resist the enemy; put on God's armor

Remember that we are all God's ambassador

So everyone can know Him as the one true Savior
