When God Revealed Himself

Inspired by Exodus 19:4-6, 16, and 18 & Psalm 20

On the third day thunders roared 
     and lightening flashed
As on the mountain dense clouds crashed
From ram's horns came a long, loud blast
The people trembled and became aghast

"YOU HAVE SEEN 
     WHAT I DID TO THE EGYPTIANS
AS I REDEEMED YOU FROM INFLICTIONS
NOW IF YOU OBEY ME 
     AND KEEP MY COVENANTS
I WILL SHOWER YOU 
     WITH TREASURE SO ABUNDANT
MY ROYAL PRIESTHOOD IS YOUR IDENTITY 
YOU WILL BE MY KINDGOM, MY ANOINTING"

May God answer us in times of trouble
Keeping us safe in times of struggle
Sending us help from His sanctuary
Remembering our gifts, gazing favorably

Making all of our plans succeed
As we hear of His victory
In Your name we raise up banners
As You answer all of our prayers

Know He rescues the anointed king
As He raises him on eagles' wings
Nations may boast of chariots and horses
But we will boast in holy, divine forces

The Purification Water

Inspired by Numbers chapter 19 & Matthew Henry’s  Commentary “COME AND BRING OUT A RED HEIFER  A PERFECT ANIMAL WITHOUT DEFECT THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE IT SHALL ACQUIRE  BURN IT TO ASHES FOR FULL EFFECT  “THE SUFFERING THROUGH FIRE IS A SACRIFICE TO SATISFY MY JUSTICE FOR DISOBEDIENCE  THIS IS THE ULTIMATE COST AND PRICE  BETWEEN OURSELVES TO INTERMEDIATE  “THE BUTCHER AND INFLAMER WILL BE UNCLEAN AS WELL AS THE ONE WHO PICKS UP THE ASHES  SO THEY MUST WASH THEMSELVES PRISTINE  SO THE PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER FRACTIOUS  “A CONSEQUENCE OF SIN IS DEATH SO TOUCHING A CORPSE IS DEFILING  THE LAW CANNOT BRING BACK YOUR HEALTH  SO NEW LIFE AND HOPE I WAS COMPILING  “MIX THE ASHES WITH FRESH WATER THIS MIXTURE IS YOUR PURIFICATION  THIS WILL ATONE FOR SIN’S SLAUGHTER  A SYMBOL OF OUR SACRED RELATION”

More Than Conquerers
