Keys to the Realm

Inspired by Matthew 16; Mark 8:11-9:1; Luke 9:18-27

People will demand to see a sign
Trying to prove you are maligned
Thinking themselves as enshrined
Unable to interpret what is divined

Beware the yeast of pious pretenders
Who cannot discern all of God's splendor
Eagerly awaiting the anointed deliverer
But unable to commit to God in surrender

We are given the keys to the Realm 
Forbidden things will be overwhelmed 
Permitted things will we helm
Since we are part of His Twelve 

We will suffer terrible things 
At the hands of religious whims 
Accusing you of many sins 
Because to life we want to cling

Don’t see from a human perspective 
Because such things can be deceptive 
To God’s ways please be receptive 
So that saving your soul is your directive

Inspired by Numbers chapter 19 & Matthew Henry’s  Commentary “COME AND BRING OUT A RED HEIFER  A PERFECT ANIMAL WITHOUT DEFECT THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE IT SHALL ACQUIRE  BURN IT TO ASHES FOR FULL EFFECT  “THE SUFFERING THROUGH FIRE IS A SACRIFICE TO SATISFY MY JUSTICE FOR DISOBEDIENCE  THIS IS THE ULTIMATE COST AND PRICE  BETWEEN OURSELVES TO INTERMEDIATE  “THE BUTCHER AND INFLAMER WILL BE UNCLEAN AS WELL AS THE ONE WHO PICKS UP THE ASHES  SO THEY MUST WASH THEMSELVES PRISTINE  SO THE PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER FRACTIOUS  “A CONSEQUENCE OF SIN IS DEATH SO TOUCHING A CORPSE IS DEFILING  THE LAW CANNOT BRING BACK YOUR HEALTH  SO NEW LIFE AND HOPE I WAS COMPILING  “MIX THE ASHES WITH FRESH WATER THIS MIXTURE IS YOUR PURIFICATION  THIS WILL ATONE FOR SIN’S SLAUGHTER  A SYMBOL OF OUR SACRED RELATION”

More Than Conquerers
