PERFECT LOVE

Pay attention and listen, O heavens!
The children the Lord raised are in rebellion
They do not recognize their own master
They do not recognize the Great Provider
 
Burdened by guilt, we’re a sinful nation
Corrupt children living in rejection
Despising the Holy One and turning our backs
Inviting punishment and to be attacked
 
Our country lies in ruins and being burned
By foreigners have our fields been plundered
Our cities are helpless all under siege
We are all weak and lack prestige
 
“FORGET about your sacrifices
WhY parade with all your VICES?
Your gifts AND offerings DISGUST ME
STOP WITH ALL THE pious MEETINGs
 
“COME NOW LET US SETTLE THIS.
tHOUGH ALL YOUR SINS ARE LIKE SCARLET.
YOU’LL BE PURIFIED AND MADE WHITE AS SNOW.
yOU’LL BE WHITE AS THE WOOL YOU SOW.
 
“i LOVE YOU SO DON’T LIVE IN FEAR
ALL YOUR WORRIES WILL DISAPPEAR
YOU DON’T HAVE TO PERFORM FOR ME
MY PERFECT LOVE WILL SET YOU FREE
 
“NO MORE LIVES OF PERFECTION

More Than Conquerers
