Two Masters

Inspired by Luke 16:1-13

Each generation has their shrewd weasels
Who are more cunning than reputable people
You can make friends using worldly riches
But when it’s gone, can you cross heavenly bridges?

If you are faithful in little things
You will be faithful in larger ones
But if you’re dishonest in little things
You won’t be honest with greater sums

If you’re untrustworthy with worldly abundance
Who can trust you with divine inheritance?
And if you can’t be trusted with other people’s things
How can you be trusted with your own belongings?

No one can serve two separate masters
You’ll be devoted to one, but despise the other
You cannot serve a Higher Power
And something else that just lacks honor
