Salvation from the Start

In the beginning,

God breathed all of creation into birth
As He created the heavens and the earth

Then to the east He planted a garden
And told man every fruit could be eaten
But there was one tree that was forbidden
Since it would bring death as the reason

Yet there was a serpent against God's ways
And schemed to leave people in a daze
Making the humans disobey God's warning
Making them feel shame and go into mourning

Their sin brought them dishonor
Since they felt His favor no longer
God prevents us from feeling disgrace
As we feel His love in its place

Intimacy keeps us in admiration
Breaking it leaves us in humiliation
Exposing our nakedness and shame
'Cause trying to be like Him was the aim

That is why the woman was named Eve
As she would the one who would conceive
Then from Eden did God banish them
That is how mankind was condemned

Between God and us is a separation
But God planned a way for salvation
Even though stillness with Him was severed
He still wants us to live with Him forever

The Purification Water

Inspired by Numbers chapter 19 & Matthew Henry’s  Commentary “COME AND BRING OUT A RED HEIFER  A PERFECT ANIMAL WITHOUT DEFECT THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE IT SHALL ACQUIRE  BURN IT TO ASHES FOR FULL EFFECT  “THE SUFFERING THROUGH FIRE IS A SACRIFICE TO SATISFY MY JUSTICE FOR DISOBEDIENCE  THIS IS THE ULTIMATE COST AND PRICE  BETWEEN OURSELVES TO INTERMEDIATE  “THE BUTCHER AND INFLAMER WILL BE UNCLEAN AS WELL AS THE ONE WHO PICKS UP THE ASHES  SO THEY MUST WASH THEMSELVES PRISTINE  SO THE PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER FRACTIOUS  “A CONSEQUENCE OF SIN IS DEATH SO TOUCHING A CORPSE IS DEFILING  THE LAW CANNOT BRING BACK YOUR HEALTH  SO NEW LIFE AND HOPE I WAS COMPILING  “MIX THE ASHES WITH FRESH WATER THIS MIXTURE IS YOUR PURIFICATION  THIS WILL ATONE FOR SIN’S SLAUGHTER  A SYMBOL OF OUR SACRED RELATION”

More Than Conquerers
