The Decision of Christianity

When has it been acceptable
To do something so detestable 
As to blatantly disobey God’s commands?

Shouldn’t believers be respectable 
Hold themselves responsible 
And help each other understand?

We are not to indulge with promiscuous people 
Or with others whose morals have been crippled 
We should not become slaves to anything 
Just because we can doesn’t mean we should do everything 

Don’t you know who our bodies are for?
They are not our own, they are for the Lord 
Sexual immorality is a devourer 
Preventing us from resurrection power 

If you’re a child of faith don’t act like a nonbeliever 
You are nothing more than a self-deceiver
Going through the motions doesn’t get you into Heaven 
Not as long as you continue your selfish obsessions

Following GOD should not have to be a chore
Because only HE is most worthy to be adored 
Christianity is not a religion 
First and foremost it is a decision 

Everyday we have the choice 
To who or what we choose to rejoice 
A decision on what to glorify 

And there is only One who is holy
And who longs to hold us all most closely 
One who takes all our guilt and shame then purifies

Unfortunately this life is hard
Everyday we must be on guard
Against those who would lie and cheat us

It is easy to become bitter 
And give into all the anger
But please lay it all at the feet of Jesus

He can heal all the pain 
Break off the shackles of your chains 
Make your heart whole again 
If you submit to His reign 

Then embrace the Holy Spirit 
Know Him as just the dearest 
A precious friend indeed 

Praise the Holy Trinity 
The Father, Son, and Spirit three
Who made a way for our souls to be freed

I have decided to follow Jesus 
He who provided my soul’s release
I’m Him I confided my pain and my hurt
And undivided will my love for Him be

More Than Conquerers
