The Life of Christianity

Just as the Scriptures said 
     that Christ died for our sins
Buried then rose from the dead 
     so new life can begin
Seen by Peter then the Twelve; 
     followed by 500 of His followers
Then the apostles saw Him themselves; 
     lastly by Paul the persecutor

Whatever we are now is because of God's favor
God working through us by His grace
Fear has no hold on us, we can be braver
We just need to remember our place

We are children of God, inheritors of His throne
Staying in a holy bond while death is overthrown
But dying daily to self and carrying our cross
Receiving His help and counting the cost

Giving up everything we own to be His disciple
Anything we gain is considered loss
Our spirits constantly in need of revival
Purifying our minds and our thoughts

Thinking carefully about what is right 
     and stop sinning
Staying humble and contrite to stay living
Not playing fast and loose with resurrection facts
A harvest we must produce; 
     lost souls we should attract

And Christ is the first of a great harvest
Just as death came to the world through a man
When things seemed to be at its darkest
Resurrection and new life came as God planned

Christ must reign 
     until He humbles all His adversaries
Enduring all the pain until death is eradicated
Destroying every ruler, authority, and power
Turning the Kingdom over to God the Father

Inspired by Numbers chapter 19 & Matthew Henry’s  Commentary “COME AND BRING OUT A RED HEIFER  A PERFECT ANIMAL WITHOUT DEFECT THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE IT SHALL ACQUIRE  BURN IT TO ASHES FOR FULL EFFECT  “THE SUFFERING THROUGH FIRE IS A SACRIFICE TO SATISFY MY JUSTICE FOR DISOBEDIENCE  THIS IS THE ULTIMATE COST AND PRICE  BETWEEN OURSELVES TO INTERMEDIATE  “THE BUTCHER AND INFLAMER WILL BE UNCLEAN AS WELL AS THE ONE WHO PICKS UP THE ASHES  SO THEY MUST WASH THEMSELVES PRISTINE  SO THE PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER FRACTIOUS  “A CONSEQUENCE OF SIN IS DEATH SO TOUCHING A CORPSE IS DEFILING  THE LAW CANNOT BRING BACK YOUR HEALTH  SO NEW LIFE AND HOPE I WAS COMPILING  “MIX THE ASHES WITH FRESH WATER THIS MIXTURE IS YOUR PURIFICATION  THIS WILL ATONE FOR SIN’S SLAUGHTER  A SYMBOL OF OUR SACRED RELATION”

More Than Conquerers
