Unfaithful People Faithful God

Part 3


The LORD says,

"REMEMBER WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD, I LOVED YOU
OUT OF REFUGE DID I CALL AND BEHOVED YOU
BUT THE MORE I CALLED, YOU RETREATED FURTHER
NOT CARING THAT AS A CHILD TO YOU DID I SHELTER

"I AM FORCED TO TEACH YOU A VERY HARSH LESSON
YOU REFUSED FIDELITY TO ONLY GET OPPRESSION
YET MY HEART IS TORN AND FULL OF COMPASSION
TO MY CHILDREN NO INDIGNATION 

"I WILL NOT UNLEASH MY FIERCE ANGER
BUT GIVE AFFECTION TO YOU WARM AND TENDER
MY PEOPLE CAN RETURN WITH MY LION'S ROAR
TREMBLING THEY'LL COME BACK TO HOMES RESTORED"

So return back to the LORD our God!
Confess to our unrighteous façade
Then HE will heal us of disloyalty
Continuing to love us extravagantly

The LORD tends to us like flowers that sprout
Known as people who HE endowed
See the immoral persist to fall and stumble
As the righteous live in truth and are humble

Inspired by Numbers chapter 19 & Matthew Henry’s  Commentary “COME AND BRING OUT A RED HEIFER  A PERFECT ANIMAL WITHOUT DEFECT THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE IT SHALL ACQUIRE  BURN IT TO ASHES FOR FULL EFFECT  “THE SUFFERING THROUGH FIRE IS A SACRIFICE TO SATISFY MY JUSTICE FOR DISOBEDIENCE  THIS IS THE ULTIMATE COST AND PRICE  BETWEEN OURSELVES TO INTERMEDIATE  “THE BUTCHER AND INFLAMER WILL BE UNCLEAN AS WELL AS THE ONE WHO PICKS UP THE ASHES  SO THEY MUST WASH THEMSELVES PRISTINE  SO THE PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER FRACTIOUS  “A CONSEQUENCE OF SIN IS DEATH SO TOUCHING A CORPSE IS DEFILING  THE LAW CANNOT BRING BACK YOUR HEALTH  SO NEW LIFE AND HOPE I WAS COMPILING  “MIX THE ASHES WITH FRESH WATER THIS MIXTURE IS YOUR PURIFICATION  THIS WILL ATONE FOR SIN’S SLAUGHTER  A SYMBOL OF OUR SACRED RELATION”

More Than Conquerers
