The Word

Inspired by John chapter 1

In the beginning was the Word
The Word was with God
And the Word was God

He was at the beginning with God
All things were made by him
Nothing was made except through him 

The Word was life and the Light of men
The Light shines in the darkness 
But the darkness cannot extinguish the Light 
Because it overwhelms the harshness 

He came into the world he created 
     But the world did not recognize him 
He became one of his beloved 
     But even they still rejected him 
Yet to those who believed 
     and accepted him here on earth 
Were known as God’s children 
     and would go through a rebirth 
So the Word became human
     and made his home among us 
Full of love and faithfulness 
     the glory as God’s Son, Jesus
We have received gracious blessings 
     from his lavish abundance 
The Word is near to the Father’s heart 
     helping us achieve transcendence

The Purification Water

Inspired by Numbers chapter 19 & Matthew Henry’s  Commentary “COME AND BRING OUT A RED HEIFER  A PERFECT ANIMAL WITHOUT DEFECT THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE IT SHALL ACQUIRE  BURN IT TO ASHES FOR FULL EFFECT  “THE SUFFERING THROUGH FIRE IS A SACRIFICE TO SATISFY MY JUSTICE FOR DISOBEDIENCE  THIS IS THE ULTIMATE COST AND PRICE  BETWEEN OURSELVES TO INTERMEDIATE  “THE BUTCHER AND INFLAMER WILL BE UNCLEAN AS WELL AS THE ONE WHO PICKS UP THE ASHES  SO THEY MUST WASH THEMSELVES PRISTINE  SO THE PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER FRACTIOUS  “A CONSEQUENCE OF SIN IS DEATH SO TOUCHING A CORPSE IS DEFILING  THE LAW CANNOT BRING BACK YOUR HEALTH  SO NEW LIFE AND HOPE I WAS COMPILING  “MIX THE ASHES WITH FRESH WATER THIS MIXTURE IS YOUR PURIFICATION  THIS WILL ATONE FOR SIN’S SLAUGHTER  A SYMBOL OF OUR SACRED RELATION”

More Than Conquerers
