A John 17 Inspired Prayer

Glorify the son as he gives glory back to You
To gain eternal life is to comprehend and value You

The Son had returned
     to the glory he shared
          before the world began
He revealed the Father
     to those who belonged 
          and follow His commands 

We were always the Father’s
     given to the son 
          and kept His word 
Accepting the message 
     knowing and believing 
          what we had heard 

We wait in this world as the son departed 
     coming back to You 
Protect us Lord by Your name’s power 
     unifying us anew 

The world hates us as they hated the son
     because we don’t pertain 
Make us holy teaching us Your word
     so that in You we remain 

He gave glory that You gave him 
     so we may be unified 
May the world know that You sent us
     as love personified 

May the world know and witness Your beautiful glory 
The same glory given to Your son,
     and Your love that predates history

The Purification Water

Inspired by Numbers chapter 19 & Matthew Henry’s  Commentary “COME AND BRING OUT A RED HEIFER  A PERFECT ANIMAL WITHOUT DEFECT THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE IT SHALL ACQUIRE  BURN IT TO ASHES FOR FULL EFFECT  “THE SUFFERING THROUGH FIRE IS A SACRIFICE TO SATISFY MY JUSTICE FOR DISOBEDIENCE  THIS IS THE ULTIMATE COST AND PRICE  BETWEEN OURSELVES TO INTERMEDIATE  “THE BUTCHER AND INFLAMER WILL BE UNCLEAN AS WELL AS THE ONE WHO PICKS UP THE ASHES  SO THEY MUST WASH THEMSELVES PRISTINE  SO THE PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER FRACTIOUS  “A CONSEQUENCE OF SIN IS DEATH SO TOUCHING A CORPSE IS DEFILING  THE LAW CANNOT BRING BACK YOUR HEALTH  SO NEW LIFE AND HOPE I WAS COMPILING  “MIX THE ASHES WITH FRESH WATER THIS MIXTURE IS YOUR PURIFICATION  THIS WILL ATONE FOR SIN’S SLAUGHTER  A SYMBOL OF OUR SACRED RELATION”

More Than Conquerers
