Smoothened Rock

Based on Revelations 3:7-12

Once upon a time there was a rock
Jagged with no clear edges
Assigned to guard the city gate lock
Determining who progresses

It had jostled around in its post
Shoved and pushed against the others
It persevered against the revolt
While barely able to recover

The king noticed its weaknesses
But also acknowledged its obedience
Said liars yield to its buttresses
While it is loved for its abidance

The others would be tested soon
Deciphering who should or shouldn’t stay
The rock now smooth and attuned
Seasoned enough to know the Way

What it went through was very painful
However it never became ungrateful
To the blessed king it remained faithful
Once jagged but now named graceful

Mostly inspired by Andrew Walker’s message (from 1:15:31 to 1:45:00)
