Psalm 68

Sing praises to God
As the wicked perish in His presence 
Sing praises to God
As the godly enjoy His closeness 

Sing loud praises to Him 
Who rides upon the clouds 
Sing loud praises to Him 
Rejoice as He surrounds 

     Father to the fatherless 
     Defender of the widowed 
     Comfort in the loneliness 
     Repayment for debt owed

     Leading Your people out of slavery
     Marching through dry wasteland 
     Making Your people full of bravery 
     Abundant rain at Your command 

Praise the Lord 
Praise God our savior 
Our God is a God who saves 

Praise the Lord 
Praise God, life-giver
Rescuing us from our graves 

Sing to the One
Riding across ancient heavens 
Sing to the One
Whose voice thunders in the horizon 

Tell everyone about His power 
Majesty upon His nation 
Bask in His holy encounter 
Enhancing His population

Inspired by Numbers chapter 19 & Matthew Henry’s  Commentary “COME AND BRING OUT A RED HEIFER  A PERFECT ANIMAL WITHOUT DEFECT THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE IT SHALL ACQUIRE  BURN IT TO ASHES FOR FULL EFFECT  “THE SUFFERING THROUGH FIRE IS A SACRIFICE TO SATISFY MY JUSTICE FOR DISOBEDIENCE  THIS IS THE ULTIMATE COST AND PRICE  BETWEEN OURSELVES TO INTERMEDIATE  “THE BUTCHER AND INFLAMER WILL BE UNCLEAN AS WELL AS THE ONE WHO PICKS UP THE ASHES  SO THEY MUST WASH THEMSELVES PRISTINE  SO THE PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER FRACTIOUS  “A CONSEQUENCE OF SIN IS DEATH SO TOUCHING A CORPSE IS DEFILING  THE LAW CANNOT BRING BACK YOUR HEALTH  SO NEW LIFE AND HOPE I WAS COMPILING  “MIX THE ASHES WITH FRESH WATER THIS MIXTURE IS YOUR PURIFICATION  THIS WILL ATONE FOR SIN’S SLAUGHTER  A SYMBOL OF OUR SACRED RELATION”

More Than Conquerers
