John 18

We came from the garden where sin began 
And with the serpent came the fall of man
From an olive tree grove a snare was laid
It was there the Son of Man was betrayed 

“Who are you looking for?” It was asked 
“Jesus the Nazarene” and the enemy attacked 
Jesus spoke “I AM he” making them gasp
Guardedly was the teacher caught and clasped 

“Everyone knows what I have been teaching 
Ask those who heard me what I had been speaking 
If I said anything wrong then you must prove it 
But if I’m speaking the truth then do not abuse it”

However the accusers had no validation 
They still took Jesus forward to prosecution 
Needing to justify their conceited collusion 
And to push ahead the desired execution 

Pilate asked if he was the king of the Jews 
And then asked later “What is the truth?”
God and sin are not compatible 
Remember His kingdom is imperceptible

The Purification Water

Inspired by Numbers chapter 19 & Matthew Henry’s  Commentary “COME AND BRING OUT A RED HEIFER  A PERFECT ANIMAL WITHOUT DEFECT THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE IT SHALL ACQUIRE  BURN IT TO ASHES FOR FULL EFFECT  “THE SUFFERING THROUGH FIRE IS A SACRIFICE TO SATISFY MY JUSTICE FOR DISOBEDIENCE  THIS IS THE ULTIMATE COST AND PRICE  BETWEEN OURSELVES TO INTERMEDIATE  “THE BUTCHER AND INFLAMER WILL BE UNCLEAN AS WELL AS THE ONE WHO PICKS UP THE ASHES  SO THEY MUST WASH THEMSELVES PRISTINE  SO THE PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER FRACTIOUS  “A CONSEQUENCE OF SIN IS DEATH SO TOUCHING A CORPSE IS DEFILING  THE LAW CANNOT BRING BACK YOUR HEALTH  SO NEW LIFE AND HOPE I WAS COMPILING  “MIX THE ASHES WITH FRESH WATER THIS MIXTURE IS YOUR PURIFICATION  THIS WILL ATONE FOR SIN’S SLAUGHTER  A SYMBOL OF OUR SACRED RELATION”

More Than Conquerers
